Religious Education

Using the SACRE Gloucestershire agreed syllabus and Understanding Christianity scheme, our school aims in RE are to allow children to experience and question a range of religious and non-religious worldviews whilst also considering the big questions of life in a safe environment. Our school has high standards in all lessons, including RE, which will aim for children to leave us with a thoughtfully explored spiritual knowledge, an increased general knowledge as well as a bank of skills to understand and tolerate the beliefs of others in order to live in today’s diverse and ever changing world. This is completed through different creative mediums including (and not limited to) art, drama, exploring challenging texts, discussion and formal writing opportunities.
