We have carefully planned our wider curriculum content to ensure that there is progression across the Key Stage. We have clear expectations for attainment at the end of each phase (end of Year 4 and end of Year 6) and this is supported by progression documents for each subject. Each term, teachers plan their sequence of lessons based on these documents and this ensures that each unit of work has a clear focus and builds on prior learning.
Learning in various subjects is also enriched though: visits to places of interest; coaches and other specialist staff providing workshops/sessions in school, and taking part in projects or events run by outside organisations.
We use range of good quality resources and schemes of work to support our teachers with both subject knowledge and planning. The individual subject pages will provide you with more detail about each curriculum area.
