A fun and wet day had by all! The children had such a fantastic day and the weather did not dampen their spirits, only their clothes.
It was a busy day filled with lots of exciting activities. The children had a workshop with Julie the education officer about food chains; dipping in the pond was one of the highlights of the day. Just before lunch they encountered otters and listened to an interesting talk about their species and habitats whilst the otters enjoyed a lunch of sprats.
Throughout the day the children enjoyed things such as feeding the geese, where many children overcame fears and showed real courage. As well as enjoying ‘Welly boot land’ (I don’t think anyone came out dry!)
The children’s behaviour was impeccable and they were a real credit to themselves and the school.
