Over the academic year 2010 - 2011 the children at Innsworth Junior School have experienced activities across the full range of the Primary Curriculum. Much of this work has been done within our creative curriculum so that the children have often been unaware of what subject they have been doing. For example, when the Lower School were making and testing shadufs and norias as part of their Ancient Egypt topic, they may have wondered if they were doing history, science, maths or D.T. Of course they were doing all of them, in addition to working on many other life skills such as speaking and listening, planning and co-operation within a small group of their peers. If you wish to see the range of curriculum areas that we cover here at Innsworth, lists have been included below with links to some of the activities that were done over the last year as follows:
Note that many of the activities may only have been photographed in one or two classes, but often actually took part in three classes - in either the lower or the upper school. |
