Concert 26/11/10 On Thursday 25th November Innsworth played St. Mary's Primary School. It was at St Mary's. Innsworth scored within the first 5 minutes. Jamie scored from inside the box. Innsworth doubled their lead with a strike from Reece. However a slip from Innsworth midfield lead St Mary's striker finishing it off. In the second half a magnificent goal from Jack put Innsworth even further into the lead. Innsworth held on for a fine victory leaving us at the top of the table with only a few games to play. By Matt - Captain On the 19th November 2010 the children enjoyed a free dress day in aid of 'Children in Need'. Pudsey arrived at lunch time and was pleased to collect the children's donations. On Thursday November 11th Innsworth Junior School played Tredworth Junior School. It was a really windy and miserable day. The pitch was muddy and had a lot of leaves flying about. Tredworth arrived late because of traffic. Kick of was at 3:50 p.m. When we did eventually kick off and Innsworth got the ball rolling. It was the hosts who took the lead within the first two minutes. Tredworth shortly equalized. Tredworth then had control of the game. However a good tackle from the Innsworth defence meant Innsworth was on the attack. It was 2 on 2 and the Innsworth strikers finished it off which meant Innsworth were in the lead. However it wasn't a lead to last as a silly mistake led Tredworth to equalise just before the interval. Just as Tredworth began the second half Innsworth were on fire winning the first tackle and going on the attack. A one-two split apart the Tredworth defence and Jamie got his hat-trick. However a long ball from Tredworth's keeper led to another equaliser making it 3-3. Innsworth were determined to win the game and some stylish play led to yet another Innsworth goal. The score was now 4-3. Then a controversial penalty was converted by Tredworth in the last couple of minutes making the score 4-4. However Innsworth went ahead in the last 30 seconds which Tredworth couldn't do anything about and Innsworth eventually won 5-4 after a dramatic match. By Matt - Captain More photos of the assembly can be seen here. Christmas Box Assembly 21st October 2010. Mrs. Jones came in to tell us the sorts of things we could put in our Christmas boxes and where they might be going.
The
Cheltenham Festival - Sunday 10th October Quote from Jacqueline Wilson's website: "We arrived at Cheltenham early because I had several interviews and lots of books to sign. Then I gave my talk and had a lovely time afterwards with lots of children. I particularly liked Liberty and Katie who had written their own Double Act magazine inspired by the Jacqueline Wilson magazine."
